Global IT Leadership for Multi-shore Projects
Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Nearly all great civilizations that perished did so because they were incapable of adapting themselves to new conditions, new methods or new points of view.” Information Technology (IT) leaders must adapt to changing conditions or perish. This paper will review global leadership competencies, multi-shore challenges, and Geert Hofstede’s cultural dimensions to compare and contrast the traditional waterfall and agile IT leadership models to determine which works best in the multi-shore environment. Multi-shore is defined as global teams residing onshore in the US next to the customer or offshore in India.

Exploring Theory U as a Model to Birth Entrepreneurs and their Ventures
This article identifies the opportunity and importance of new entrepreneurs and the small businesses they create to the US economy. Scharmer’s Theory U principles are applied to the training and development needs of entrepreneurs to facilitate ventures that succeed. Then a prototype for an Entrepreneurial Incubator is proposed to illustrate how Theory U can be practically applied to encourage potential entrepreneurs to develop their new ventures by sensing, presencing, and realizing. This model provides a mechanism for potential entrepreneurs to birth their venture in a supportive, collective environment that listens deeply to the emerging future and how to participate in it.
